“In the future of wearable personal heath & fitness technology, we will move away from adding new devices, and make products we already wear and use intelligent.” – Frank Fitzpatrick
One of the most rapidly changing fields affected by exponential technology is healthcare. What is exciting to me is how this can impact wellness and scale opportunities for alternative therapies and modalities, like yoga, meditation and music. We can use new technologies to make healing and preventive health practices more accessible and less costly, to improve patient-doctor relations, to integrate these modalities with more traditional health care, and to personalize health and wellness by putting the power back into the hands of the patient.
There are a large numbers of companies offering apps, wearables and programs for yoga, meditation, fitness, breathing, and healing – many of them including music and audio. Built in biofeedback is becoming more and more common, as well, which will dramatically increase the effectiveness and personalization of these wellness programs.
